Health & Wellbeing Programs

Helping humans connect to land will support their ancestral work and overall healing journey. Communities of color have faced systemic barriers to accessing farmland; we seek to help break down these barriers and provide access to the benefits and healing nature of farmland to BIPOC communities.

Seniors And Disabled Meal Share Program

This program offers prepared meals for seniors, physically disabled and/or mentally challenged individuals. All of the meals are prepared by professional and community volunteer chefs in a licensed commercial kitchen. They use the locally grown and organic ingredients from the Yasuke Farm and our community of farmers. Families can receive up to three meals per day and choose from a menu with vegan, vegetarian and culturally relevant options.

How it Works

  • 1This program is open to any senior, physically disabled or mentally challenged person who is unable to prepare their own food.
  • 2Individuals sign up for the program through social service agencies, our mobile markets, tribes, or partner organizations who then provide us with a list of names and contact information.
  • 3Meals are delivered to participants’ homes by a Yasuke Commons team member
  • 4Membership is also open to individuals who are participants in other Yasuke Commons & Commons programs.
